Shanghai marine exhibition grabs global interest

Marintec, the marine technology exhibition at the new Shanghai Expo Centre, hosted over 1000 exhibitors with the halls constantly crowded by visitors from China and around the world. James Walker shared the stand of Tecway International (Marine) Ltd, its marine distributor in China with bases at Dalian, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The stand emphasised James Walker's worldwide technical support and supply of packings, gaskets, lip seals, tank lid seals, and plant refurbishment services.
Commented Chris Runciman (third from left) James Walker's marine manager: "We were inundated by personnel from the Chinese shipbuilding industry, along with visitors from virtually every other shipbuilding and fleet operating nation.
"Language was not a problem as Horace Huang (left), the Tecway sales manager for marine business in China, was always ready to translate."
