Dome valve seals for food or fly ash

Replacement inflatable seals for dome valves are now supplied in elastomers suitable for food processing duties and handling chemically aggressive or high temperature materials.
   Pete Smith, James Walker Keaflex business development manager, explained: "Dome valves are compressed-air operated, and rely on an inflatable seal for accurately controlling the flow of bulk powders, pastes and granules."
   They are widely used on pneumatic conveying systems for applications as diverse as fly ash bagging and dispensing food products into containers.
    These replacement seals are supplied as standard sizes from 50mm to 300mm diameter (2-inch to 12-inch) in elastomers including silicone (VMQ) and fluorocarbon (FKM). Other sizes are made to order.
