Description AF71/80 is an FEPM compound, based on Aflas® from Asahi Glass, with a nominal hardness rating of 80 IRHD. Its relatively high resistance to compression set makes it an excellent grade for the production of high integrity 'O' rings.
The material's excellent resistance to oils, lubricants and some fuels approaches that of fluoroelastomer dipolymers. It also possesses excellent resistance to steam, amines, bases and hydrogen sulphide. The working temperature range of AF71/80 is +5°C (+41°F) to +205°C (+401°F).
