Extruding and mould-joining

Description
This approach proves particularly economical when a high degree of precision is unnecessary: ie, for large diameter non-standard 'O' rings used in static duties.

The ring is made from a length of extruded elastomeric cord by vulcanising the ends together in a moulding tool.

This method must not be confused with rings joined together by contact adhesive. Generally, the use of such adhesives results in a less secure joint with operational temperature limitations below that of the elastomeric cord material.

How supplied
Rings need a minimum diameter section of 3mm and minimum inside diameter of 200mm. Maximum ID is unlimited. Custom 'O' rings can be produced very swiftly by this technique, and our flexible production schedules enable us to meet the most urgent demands.
