Description
Lionsele® G is a PTFE seal supported by a rectangular energiser made of elastomer.
The rectangular energiser helps to keep leakage to a minimum by evenly supporting the PTFE sleeve, preventing it from twisting or rocking in the housing. Stable fluid film conditions and consistent low friction values are therefore ensured.
The profile of the PTFE sleeve is designed to control leakage by recovering the maximum possible residual fluid film from the piston rod on the return stroke.

Typical applications
Systems where instant response and low power consumption are important, and leakage in unacceptable. Examples include: hydraulic cylinders, mobile hydraulics, machine tools, injection moulding machines, downstroking presses.
Operating capabilities
Materials of construction
Energiser (standard material): medium nitrile NBR elastomer.
Energiser (non-standard): other elastomers to suit operating conditions, including fluoroelastomer FKM for high temperature duties.
PTFE sleeve (standard material): Fluolion® B60.
PTFE sleeve (non-standard): alternative Fluolion® PTFE grades to suit specific applications.
Media capabilities
Our standard materials are suitable for use with most mineral based hydraulic fluids, most fire-resistant fluids of the water/oil or water/glycol types at temperatures up to 100°C, and resist most lubricating oils, greases, air and water. For other media, alternative materials are available on request.
How supplied
Available in standard materials and sizes to suit housings to ISO7425 pt2. Other sizes manufactured to order.
