Description A superior quality length-form packing, developed to reduce stockholding requirements and operating costs at processing plants, power stations and industrial sites.
It is plaited from high purity expanded graphite ribbons that are reinforced with carbon fibre to provide additional strength plus resistance to pressure and extrusion.
This construction enables it to provide high integrity sealing for steam valves working at high temeratures and pressures, and also operate as a long-life gland packing for high speed rotary pumps handling condesate, process water and most chemical solutions and slurries.
Typical applications Valves handling steam at high temperatures and pressures, or condensate, fuel, oils, chemicals, process water or effluent. High speed pumps handling process water, slurries and many other chemical solutions.

Chemical properties Chemically inert within the range pH 0-14, excluding strong oxidising agents. It has negligible volatile content, and is low in extractable trace impurities such as chloride and sulphur.
