Description
A fibrous packing material comprising a uniform blend of carbon fibres, high purity graphite flakes, fillers, binders, high-temperature resistant lubricants, plus an organic corrosion inhibitor.
Typical applications
Valves controlling steam, air, hydrocarbons, oils, weak acids or mild alkalis. For higher pressure duties, or where extrusion gaps are significant, the loose form fibre is used in combination with top and bottom anti-extrusion rings of conventional packing such as Grafpak or Valcor® XA. It may also be used on slow rotary or reciprocating duties in combination with a packing such as Super Flexmet XA.

Compatible with media in the range pH 3-12.
Service capabilities - valve stem duties
Maximum operating temperature: +540°C.
Minimum operating temperature: -40°C.
Maximum system pressure: 120bar.
How supplied
Ex-stock: loose fibrous form in plastic containers of 500g and 2.5kg. Other quantities supplied to order. Also available as extruded and moulded rings, either endless, split or in half-ring form.
