Description
Fluolion® is James Walker's trade name for its range of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) materials and products. It has exceptional chemical inertness, hygiene and low friction properties.
When manufactured in a suitably approved grade of virgin PTFE, Walkersele Fluolion® radial lip seals prove invaluable for certain sealing applications in the food and chemical processing sectors. Walkersele Fluolion® suits housings fitted with retaining plates.
Media compatibility
Virgin PTFE is resistant to practically every known chemical and solvent. Only molten alkali metals, fluorine and some fluorine compunds at elevated temperatures/pressures will attack it.
Seal construction
Solid PTFE, precision-machined to Walkersele® D6 profile.
Maximum under-lip temperature
260°C constant: but note that under-lip temperature can often be substantially higher (eg, by 30°C) than fluid media temperature.
Maximum surface speed
3m/s with Walkersele® D6 design.
