Problem solving is a challenge we enjoy. Our world-class materials research and product testing laboratories are staffed by teams of dedicated scientists who prove the design integrity and quality of every item we supply.

We supplement our in-house research facilities with those at national institutions and other centres of excellence. Independent laboratories across the world also carry out third-party testing of our products to specific national and industry standards.

James Walker is a founder member of the European Sealing Association, participating in joint research programmes with other members, and belongs to many other influential bodies.

Customer Support

Our high-technology National Sales Centre leads the way in the fluid sealing industry with its personalised service to over 6000 customers. It also provides some of the swiftest response times for quotations and order processing currently achievable.

On the global front, our network of companies and distributors covers 68 countries, responding immediately to local needs.

With over 10-million items in our automated warehouses, we can react very swiftly to industry's demands for sealing products - typically to bring a process or production plant back on stream.

On-siteOn-site advice is provided by large teams of James Walker's local representatives, backed worldwide by highly experienced industry specialists, applications engineers and materials scientists.

Together, they possess the specialised knowledge, practical experience and technical facilities to solve any relevant fluid sealing problem for our customers.


CustomerCustomer training is another important service we provide. This ensures that end-users are kept up to date with the latest developments in sealing technology, and can specify and install new (and existing) products in the most efficient way.

Training is carried out on-site to provide hands-on experience. Courses are tailored to each customer's requirements. This service is backed by free training videos and CD-ROMs on fitting techniques that act as an 'instant refresher course' for busy maintenance engineers.
