Description
AF69/90 is a highly-developed synthetic rubber based on Aflas® FEPM polymer from Asahi Glass. James Walker compounds this grade for good ED resistance with wide chemical compatibility.

From +5°C  (at atmospheric pressure)  to +205°C  (+41°F  to +401°F).

Tensile strength:  24MPa (3147psi)
Elongation at break:  110%

Compression set: 72 hours @ 250°C (482°F):  54%
Compression set: 7 days @ 200°C (392°F):  45%

Air aging: 70 hours @ 250°C (482°F)
   Change in hardness:  0 IRHD
   Change in TS:  -27%
   Change in E @ B:  +11%

Fluid immersion testing: ASTM #1, 7 days @ 150°C (302°F)
   Change in hardness:  -1 IRHD 
   Change in volume:  +2.4%

Fluid immersion testing: IRM 903, 7 days @ 150°C (302°F)
   Change in hardness:  -11 IRHD 
   Change in TS:  -15%
   Change in E @ B:  -33%
   Change in volume:  +15%

Fluid immersion testing: water, 7 days @ 70°C (158°F)
   Change in hardness:  -3 IRHD 
   Change in volume:  +0.6%

Fluid immersion testing: methanol, 7 days @ 70°C (158°F)
   Change in hardness: -4 IRHD 
   Change in volume: +1.9%

All tests carried out in accordance with BS903, relevant section or equivalent.
