Description
Resilient cord-type packing comprising a covering of PTFE tape spirally wrapped around a core of sintered PTFE. This construction enables the product to conform readily to any housing annulus whilst at the same time resisting extrusion.
Typical applications
This is a highly efficient maintenance expedient for the swift repacking of valves where temperatures and pressures are modest. Ideal for emergency application when the usual grade of packing material is unavailable. Often used for longer-term duties on non-critical services. Can also be used to form emergency flange gaskets.

Chemical properties
Compatible with media in the range pH 0-14, excluding molten alkali metals, fluorine and some fluorine compounds at elevated temperatures.
Service capabilities - valve stem duties
Maximum operating temperature: +250°C.
Minimum operating temperature: -150°C.
Maximum system pressure: 35bar.

Ex-stock: spools containing 2.5mm diameter cord x 24m length; 4mm x 8m; 5.5mm x 4m; 7mm x 2m.
