Description
FR58/90 is a James Walker compound based on a Viton® fluoroelastomer FKM terpolymer from DuPont Performance Elastomers. It is specially formulated for ED resistance. 

Special features

Temperature capability
From -12°C (at atmospheric pressure) to +210°C (+10°F to +410°F). 

Typical physical properties for FR58/90

Hardness:  88 IRHD
Tensile strength:  14MPa (2030psi)
Modulus at 50% elongation:  5.5MPa (800psi)
Elongation at break:  190%
Low temperature torsion modulus T70 :  -12°C (10°F)

Compression set: 24 hours @ 175°C (347°F):  25%
Compression set: 24 hours @ 200°C (392°F):  28%

Air ageing: 70 hours @ 125°C (257°F)
   Change in hardness: 0 IRHD 
   Change in TS: -6%
   Change in E @ B:  -15%

Fluid immersion testing: ASTM #1, 7 days @ 150°C (302°F)
   Change in hardness: +1 IRHD 
   Change in TS: -10%
   Change in E @ B: +5%
   Change in volume:  0%

Fluid immersion testing: IRM 903, 7 days @ 150°C (302°F)
   Change in hardness: +1 IRHD 
   Change in TS: -20%
   Change in E @ B: -20%
   Change in volume: +1%

Fluid immersion testing: Forties Crude Oil, 28 days @ 80°C (176°F)
   Change in hardness: -6 IRHD 
   Change in TS: -33%
   Change in E @ B: -17%
   Change in volume: +4%

All tests carried out in accordance with BS903, relevant section or equivalent.
