Description
Dense, high strength packing of cross-plaited premier quality graphite filament yarns. Treated with pure graphite before and after plaiting, and further treated with corrosion inhibitors.
Typical applications
Control valves and main stop valves on high temperature/pressure steam circuits at power stations, chemical plants, industrial services, and on marine installations. Also suitable for duties with water, condensate, alkalis, acids, solvents and most chemicals.
Grafpak is frequently used as end rings in conjunction with Supagraf® Moulded Rings and in our Valvemaster® live-loaded control system.

Chemically inert within the range pH 0-14, excluding strong oxidising agents.

Maximum temperatures
Steam and oxidising conditions: +550°C.
Non-oxidising conditions: (Significantly higher, refer to our
Technical Services Team)
Minimum temperature: -50°C.
Maximum system pressure: 150bar typical (refer to our Technical
Services Team for higher pressures).
How supplied
Ex-stock: all popular square sections from 3mm cross-section upwards to suit all standard valves. Boxed in 8m lengths or supplied as split preformed rings and sets. Full fitting instructions are supplied.
