Shieldseal® 551 - Radiation grade

Description
Shieldseal® 551 is one of our world-beating range of lead-free elastomers specifically developed for shielding X-ray and gamma radiation. It is based on a polychloroprene (CR) elastomer, with specially formulated (lead-free) metallic fillers evenly dispersed throughout its structure.

Typical applications
Duties where an inherently elastic and resilient flexible seal is needed to prevent shine paths in active areas. Examples include: door seals, flange joints, pipe wrapping and protective garments.

Specifications
Please contact James Walker's Technical Services Team for full details of evaluation work carried out by independent test house Centronic Raditec.
