In 2002 James Walker Oil & Gas Co was established in Houston, TX to support our growing business in this region and to demonstrate our commitment to this market sector.
Operating as a sales, design, technical support and stocking facility, the company coordinates global oil and gas strategy from this key industry hub.
We work closely with the industry's design engineers to develop and manufacture new materials and seals for use in the aggressive environments encountered under increasingly stringent performance criteria.
Rapid gas decompression resistant grades of elastomer for seals, and low-toxicity fire retardant material for pipe supports, are two examples of on-going research projects.
In 2006, only four years after our foundation, we gained third-party registation to ISO 9001:2000, the international standard for Quality Systems. In May 2009, we gained our ISO 9001:2008 - which further demonstrates our commitment to excellence of service in the oil and gas industry.
From downhole to wellhead, offloading to refining, equipment design to final fabrication, James Walker is actively involved.
