Who's on the move at James Walker? Here's a selection of our latest appointments, new positions and fresh faces...
Peter Mayhook, to managing director of James Walker Australia. He takes over on the retirement of John Humphreys who has been MD since 1984.
Peter joins from BOC where he was director of Customer Service & Sales for South Pacific. Before that he held senior positions with Sydney Water, and the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand
He has an MBA from Massey University, New Zealand, and a BSc from King's College, London.
Andrew Tuffield, 41, to managing director, James Walker Keaflex. He joined the James Walker Group in 2003 as sales and marketing director of Tiflex where he was responsible for increasing the company's penetration in the industrial and flooring markets.
Andrew is a qualified engineer, with management experience in the automotive, mineral extraction, mass transportation, defence and aerospace sectors.
Paul Smith, 45, to operations manager of James Walker Moorflex, based at Bingley, West Yorkshire. He joins from Hoerbiger, where he was responsible for introducing lean business methods and project managing SAP across two sites.
Paul is an apprentice trained mechanical engineer, with post graduate qualifications in advanced management application and quality management. He is experienced in the aerospace, machine tool and compressor industries.
Clive Smith, 44, to manufacturing manager, James Walker Moorflex, from assistant manufacturing manager.
He joined the company in 1987 as a CNC turner following an apprenticeship as a tool room engineer, and skilled fitter in the hydraulics industry. He has progressed through CNC programmer, production engineer and production controller.
Clive holds an HNC in mechanical and production engineering, and a diploma in management studies.
