The Position
Project Keystone is James Walker’s digital transformation programme ensuring common processes, common ways of working and a common ERP solution known as Syteline CSI throughout James Walker. The programme is made up of several workstreams and impacts all JW sites.
The Systems Trainer plays a crucial role in educating colleagues on how to effectively use Syteline CSI and the role’s primary responsibility is to ensure colleague proficiency in using the applications.
Purpose
Work as part of the Keystone Programme and support the global roll out of Syteline
Identify, plan, deliver and evaluate training on existing, proprietary and bespoke systems and processes according to business requirements and organisational needs
Provide high level learning and development service and support to the JW business
Key responsibilities
Establish and maintain close working relationships within the business to ensure consistent and successful Keystone project delivery
Take the lead where necessary in the system training roll out, providing guidance to the Lead Systems Trainer and process experts
Recommend appropriate approaches to training requirements
Produce user acceptance testing scripts, perform user acceptance testing and advise on business change implications to support and enable the implementation of Keystone
Design, test and review training materials and documents such as handouts, manuals and exercises
Plan training sessions according to objectives and key deliverables of the project(s), including comprehensive training plans and trainer notes
Prepare the learning environment and resources, including setting up IT equipment where appropriate to ensure that the learning environment and resources support learner needs
Cultivate and support a network of experts to communicate and promote best practice
Deliver systems training through a blended approach to colleagues, traveling to locations to deliver training face to face or delivering over virtual tools such as Microsoft Teams
Evaluate the effectiveness of training and learning outcomes and adapt existing material based on business feedback where appropriate
Experience/Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (Verbal and Written)
Design of technical course material (Essential)
Ability to relate and adapt a range of training methods to business processes and practices (Essential)
Ability to coach and mentor others (Essential)
Experience of planning and delivering systems training to end users at all levels (Essential)
Experience of creating training documentation and delivering training (Essential)
CIPD in Learning and Development qualified or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience working with ERP and/or Human Resource (HCM) systems (Preferred)
Working in a manufacturing environment (Preferred)
