Walkersele D6 is our highly successful standard design. It is suitable for the vast majority of bearing protection duties and other radial lip seal applications across all sectors of industry.
- Lip profile minimises heat generation and shaft wear.
- Geometry gives lip flexibility to accommodate shaft eccentricity.
- Works at up to 20 kPa pressure differential; or up to 200 kPa with lip support plate.
- Fabric-backed (retained) versions can usually be supplied in split form, and as Walkersele OSJ-2 for On-Site Joining.
Walkersele D6 availability - standard ranges
James Walker Charts 56 and 57 cover standard ranges of our M1/D6 fabric-backed (retained) versions in inch and metric sizes respectively. These seals can be supplied in either endless or split form - note the different order numbers on charts. Virtually all sizes are available ex-stock. James Walker Charts 104 and 105 cover self-retaining M6/D6 seals in inch and metric sizes respectively. Virtually all sizes are available ex-stock. (Please contact our Technical Services Team for Chart 104 and 105 details.)
James Walker Chart 376 covers self-retaining M6/D6/M seals conforming to DIN3760 and BS1399. Virtually all sizes are available ex-stock. (Please contact our Technical Services Team for Chart 376 details.)
Walkersele D6 availability - non-standard sizes
Existing tools - we have thousands of Walkersele® moulds - including a vast number for non-standard sizes - and can easily check mould availability. Where we have suitable tools, your seal will be supplied on short delivery time without tooling charges.
Specials - new tools are swiftly made in-house for non-standard sizes. In these cases a tooling charge will be applied. Seals for shaft diameters up to 2200mm are produced by conventional moulding methods. Sizes above this and up to unlimited diameter are manufactured using our highly developed vulcanised mould-joining technique.
