Hydraulic rod / gland seals

Our rod and gland seals cover virtually every industrial application, working to eliminate the loss of system pressure by preventing fluid leakage.

Rod / gland seals for hydraulic / pneumatic systems


Hydraulic rod seals are designed to prevent hydraulic fluid from leaking from the rod of a hydraulic cylinder and thereby eliminating loss of system pressure. Similar to wiper seals, rod/gland seals also help to prevent external contaminants from entering the system.

Many of the James Walker designs are pressure-responsive and designed to help compensate for worn or uneven surfaces on other components.
