Vermilion® Three

High performance elastomer for rapid gas decompression (RGD) resistance in higher temperature applications.

The first elastomer Shell TAT approved to Shell MESC SPE 85/301, Vermilion Three is a next generation enhanced performance development of James Walker’s industry leading FR 25/90 material.

Vermilion Three is a fluoroelastomer (FKM) material offering excellent temperature performance, resistance to H2S and rapid gas decompression (RGD) plus the typical FKM tolerance of aromatics and hot water.

This product has been independently 3rd party tested and is validated by James Walker for use in hydrogen service. Contact us for further details.

  • Low temperature: sealing capability confirmed down to -46°C (-51°F) in product configured testing
  • TR10 -32°C (-26°F)
  • T70 -30°C (-22°F)
  • High temperature: continuous +200°C (+392°F)

  • Norsok M-710 Annex A ISO 23936-2 ‘sour’
  • Norsok M-710 Annex B ISO 23936-2
