James Walker is a leading provider of heat-resistant, high temperature textiles, including its proprietary ARMASIL® range, enabling solutions for high-temperature resistant applications, including:

  • Heat shielding
  • Blankets, seals and expansion joints for emissions control
  • Blankets and insulation for stress relieving
  • Furnaces
  • Hot gas ducting insulation
  • Protection from molten splash, sparks and weld spatter

We also offer the following textile options:

  • Armatex® - silicone or Teflon® coated textiles that handle temperatures in the range of 230°C - 288°C These materials are suitable for a number of applications including gaskets and expansion joints.
  • Armaglas® - fibreglass cloths, rewettable cloths, ropes, tapes or sleeving, including vermiculite coatings for additional temperature tolerance, handling temperatures in the range of 538°C - 815°C. Armaglas textiles are suitable for uses including welding blankets, stress relieving pads, curtains and pipe wrapping.
  • Para-aramids - para-aramids or Kevlar® are exceptionally rugged fabrics that stand up to abrasion and high temperatures without sacrificing strength or stability. Kevlar is both chemical and mildew resistant and is suitable for welding blankets, hose coverings and kneeling pads.
