Internal Sales Representative

We are seeking for a motivated and skilled Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in Norway.

📍 Location: Ålesund, Norway

At James Walker, we engineer world-class sealing solutions for the most demanding applications across oil & gas, power generation, chemical processing, marine, and heavy industries.

We’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative who can provide internal commercial support to the field sales team, ensure customer expectations are met and service levels exceeded.

What You'll Do – Your Mission:

As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll be part of a focused and successful sales team aiming to exceed sales targets aligned with the business objectives.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Manage customer interactions, build relationships, and handle inquiries, complaints, or returns

  • Generate, follow up on, and convert sales leads and opportunities

  • Prepare quotes, process orders, and communicate requirements to internal teams

  • Support field sales with prospecting, handovers, and sales strategy execution

  • Maintain customer records, use IT systems effectively, and track progress toward sales targets

  • Participate in meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Bring:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of delivery and payment terms

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Previous experience in customer service or sales-oriented roles

  • Applicants must have native-level proficiency in Norwegian and professional level of English

Preferred:

  • Product, industry, and manufacturing knowledge

  • Basic technical skills, including reading engineering drawings

  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and presentation skills

  • Experience with customer visits

  • Engineering and sales-related qualifications
