A private owned global manufacturing organization, supplying a vast range of high-performance fluid sealing products and associated knowledge-based services to virtually every industry sector. With state-of-the-art skills in materials technology, particularly relating to elastomers, polymers, composites and engineering plastics plus extensive expertise in precision machining of exotic alloys for metallic seals, and tension control fasteners for bolted joints.

Your Role
As a Product Engineer, you will provide technical support and development assistance for our tactile, visual, and digital bolting solutions. This role focuses on enhancing service delivery, supporting existing products in the market, and contributing to development projects aimed at improving performance and extending product capabilities into new sectors such as Wind Energy, Crane Operations, Molten Salts, CCUS, and Defence.

You will:

  • Assist in the improvement of service tools and technical support for current solutions; for use with Sales and Applications engineering teams.
  • Contribute to product testing and qualification programs to extend lifecycle and ensure compliance with sustainability and emissions reduction requirements.
  • Support the creation of technical documentation, training materials, and marketing content.
  • Participate in industry events and expos alongside senior engineers to promote technical expertise.

Role Purpose

  • Provide engineering support for product development and lifecycle management.
  • Assist in testing, qualification, and compliance activities for existing and new products.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver technical improvements.
  • Contribute to technical papers and presentations as part of marketing and industry engagement.


Key Responsibilities
Product Support

  • Assist in refining mechanical designs and integrating metallurgical/electrical principles.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of product issues in collaboration with quality and manufacturing teams.
  • Help maintain and improve service tools and digital monitoring systems.

Testing & Compliance

  • Participate in product testing and qualification programs.
  • Support initiatives aligned with sustainability and regulatory requirements.

Documentation & Training

  • Prepare technical reports, training materials, and marketing collateral.
  • Assist in delivering webinars, workshops, and customer training sessions.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and technical teams.
  • Provide input for continuous improvement and innovation projects linked with product management and the technical roadmap.


About you

Essential

  • Strong mechanical engineering foundation.
  • Good understanding of CAD and Microsoft computer systems.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of bolting standards and materials.
  • Familiarity with bolting materials and standards.
  • Experience in sectors such as Renewables, Oil & Gas, Power, Defence, Crane or Wind.
