Team Leader Service Center

We are seeking for a motivated and skilled Team Lead Service Center to join our dynamic team in Norway.

📍 Location: Oslo, Norway

At James Walker, we engineer world-class sealing solutions for the most demanding applications across oil & gas, power generation, chemical processing, marine, and heavy industries.

We’re looking for an operational and technically strong Team Leader who will contribute to efficient and safe operations in our production department.

What You'll Do – Your Mission

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Work hands-on in production (machine operation, maintenance, and programming)

  • Follow up on quality, progress, and HSE

  • Support the Production Manager in daily operational tasks and overall management

  • Contribute to continuous improvement (LEAN/KAIZEN)

  • Act as deputy for the Production Manager when needed

What You Bring:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience from a production/manufacturing environment

  • Solid technical and operational production competence

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings

  • Understanding of planning, capacity, and logistics

  • Competent IT skills for safe use of production systems

  • Structured, decisive, and solution-oriented professional

  • Clear and confident communicator

  • Someone who builds trust and stability within the team

  • Comfortable taking responsibility in an operational role

  • Hands-on mindset with a focus on practical execution

  • Applicants must have native-level proficiency in Norwegian and good knowledge of English

Preferred:

  • Technical background, preferably in mechanical engineering.

  • Knowledge of sealing products and services.
