An asymmetric profile, polyurethane U‑seal for single‑action use on hydraulic pistons
Lionsele U3 is a U-seal with an asymmetric profile, manufactured in high performance polyurethane for single-action use on hydraulic pistons. Two of these seals installed in a back-to-back arrangement, can be used on double-acting pistons.
The lip profile is designed as an interference fit within the housing, and the radial squeeze provided by this action gives efficient sealing at low pressures. In operation, the seal becomes pressure-responsive to maintain sealing forces, even at very high temperatures.
