Product Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen working in the Product Engineering Team for Key Industries. The Key Industries team develops new products for sealing applications in a range of industry sectors, with a strong focus currently on renewable energy, marine and nuclear.

Here are the key things you need to know:

• Actively participating in the development and design of new products for specific Key Industry markets working closely with key stakeholder departments.
• Providing technical support to both colleagues and clients and give advice on seal application and fitting.
• Supporting the New Product Development (NPD) Team activity and update on projects where you are the Leader.
• Conceptual and final designs of sealing solutions for customer and NPD projects, working to relevant procedures eg. BS EN 9001: 2015.
• Preparing engineering drawings to a high standard.
• Investigation of seal failures, providing reports on recommendations and corrective action.
• Training Product Technicians and Technical Apprentices and to assist and support them in their technical development.
• Recognising and interpreting International, National, Customer and Company specifications.
