Apprentice Product Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Product Technician working within our Configuration team at our Cockermouth site in the UK.

The successful candidate will work towards achieving a Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer Degree apprenticeship via college and on-the-job training.

Here are the key things you need to know:

• Assist and train team members in the interpretation of customers’ requirements, and in the selection of the most appropriate product to satisfy these requirements.
• Ensure that where there is a choice of suitable technical solutions, products, or route to manufacture, the most appropriate solution balancing operational and commercial aspects for the particular circumstances is selected.
• Make product and material selection recommendations based upon published literature and in-house product selection systems.
• Clearly understand when more detailed technical support is required, and to seek assistance from the most appropriate 'Technically Competent' member of the company’s Technology Centre team or sales company Applications Engineering team to resolve the query.
